45 firefighters attend Lisburn blaze (1/1)

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service is in attendance at a significant firefighting operation near Lisburn on Sunday night.

45 firefighters are in attendance at the blaze in the Dornan’s Road area of Lower Ballinderry.

A statement from the NIFRS advised those living nearby to avoid the area and keep windows and doors closed.

NIFRS crews are currently dealing with an ongoing incident at Dornans Road, Lower Ballinderry,” a spokesperson said.

“At present there are 6 Fire Appliances, 1 Aerial appliance and 45 personnel carrying out firefighting operations.

“We would advise members of the public to avoid the area for the next 2-3 hours and nearby homeowners to keep their windows and doors closed.”
