Protestant church attendance: Ten years ago we didn’t have the amount of sports activities on a Sunday morning as we do now. "We have to constantly battle with that," says Church of Ireland Canon Gillian Wharton, rector at St Philip and St James’ Church in Booterstown, Co Dublin. “We would have, I would say, the same number, in fact more people attending and involved, but not as often.”
