Madame! Wine Shop in Lagos will host Adam Lovell, social media influencer, this Wednesday afternoon at 5pm as he launches his new book for an exclusive presentation exploring another perspective on Portuguese and Spanish wines.
Accompanied by editor Amy Snook, Lovell will share stories that “transcend borders, unveiling the traditions and secrets of Iberian wine culture.”
“Although Trippin and Sippin’ has not been translated into Portuguese or Spanish, we believe this work deserves special attention. Adam’s book is a deep dive into the old world, where wine is part of the culture, not just a commodity. His stories highlight winemaking in regions that were not submitted to the demands of globalised markets,” the shop says.
In the book, Lovell combines elements of geology, geography, history and oenology to explore the Iberian Peninsula. “From the heroic vineyards carved into volcanic landscapes to the intricate stone terraces supporting vines, he celebrates the resilience of local winemakers and their connection to the land. With a nuanced perspective shaped by tasting wines from around the world, Lovell advocates for wine as a unique expression of each region, free from the standardization of mass production,” the statement adds.
To enhance the experience, Madame! Wine Shop will serve “four carefully selected wines, creating a unique combination of storytelling and tasting.”
Admission costs €20 and includes tastings of the wines.
