PAN jumps at ‘stealthing’

Portugal Resident

It’s a new buzzword in Portugal: ‘stealthing’ – meaning someone who whips their condom off during sex, without the consent of their sexual partner; and PAN has been the first political party to leap into action, drawing up a proposal to criminalise anyone who ‘stealths’. This practice hit the headlines a few weeks ago, with allegations coming from the country’s jazz circuit that ‘stealthing’ was a scourge affecting women in the industry. ‘Stealthing’ is already outlawed in a number of other countries as a crime of sexual aggression. Meantime, a petition calling for stealthing to be outlawed is rapidly gathering signatures online.
