Portugal will showcase 3,000 wines at world’s leading wine fair in Paris
Portugal is set to be one of the biggest exhibitors at Wine Paris 2025, the world’s leading wine and spirits trade fair which will take place from February 10 to 12, 2025 in the French capital.
With a significant 61% increase in participation compared to 2024, Portugal will be the second-largest international presence after Italy.
Occupying a substantial 1,600 square meters in Hall 4 International, Portugal’s delegation will include 250 national producers, eight wine regions, and seven prominent individual exhibitors, coordinated by ViniPortugal, the organisation dedicated to promoting Portuguese wines abroad. Over 3,000 Portuguese wine labels will be available for tasting.
The delegation will be divided into 11 pavilions, manned by several wine commissions from across the country, including the Vinhos Verdes Commission (two pavilions), the Douro and Port Institute (two pavilions), the Bairrada Wine Commission (one); Beira Interior Wine Commission (one) and ViniPortugal (five, highlighting regions like Dão, Lisboa, Tejo, and Península de Setúbal).
Organized by Vinexposium, Wine Paris has solidified its position as the world’s premier gathering for the wine and spirits sector. In its sixth edition, the event is expected to host more than 4,600 exhibitors from 50 wine-producing countries and attract 50,000 trade visitors representing 140 nations. ´
Rodolphe Lameyse, CEO of Vinexposium, has underlined the importance of collaboration and innovation during uncertain times:
“In times of great uncertainty, economic crisis and a loss of meaning, a country’s isolation is not an option. By combining strengths and promoting innovation, the connection between all parties in the sector and the links between the political and economic sectors, we can find solutions,” he says, cited in a statement, highlighting the event’s role as an international think-tank for the sector.
More than ever, he said, the 2025 edition will play a “crucial role” in shaping the future of the wine and spirits industry across the globe.
