On Sunday, November 3, the NCA Fair took place at Krazy World in Algoz. The NCA Fair is an annual recurring event aimed at connecting and uniting Dutch-speaking entrepreneurs and compatriots in Portugal.
The fair was well attended and attracted 600 visitors this year, making the event a great success. A highlight of the NCA Fair was the charity raffle, which raised €1,000 and will contribute to charitable causes to be determined by the NCA board.
The NCA, Clube Neerlandês de Portugal, is an association for Dutch speakers living in and/or interested in Portugal. The association’s mission is to inform members about living, working, and life in Portugal; and connect and unite members, with a focus on the Algarve.
All activities of the association are aimed at achieving both goals, creating an attractive, informative, and modern range of events and publications.
At the fair, visitors could explore over 35 stands, participate in workshops, enjoy Dutch snacks, and be inspired by the diversity of companies. Activities were also organised for children by Dutch schools. “It was a pleasant and successful day,” said organisers.
NCA has been committed to charitable causes in the Algarve for years. Last year, for example, they financed medical care for children at the Bom Samaritano orphanage in Alvor, purchased shower chairs for Madrugada (‘end of life’ palliative nursing care service), supported a sterilization project for dogs and cats, and arranged a refrigerator for the Soup Kitchen.
