A judge has lambasted a bogus knight for being “entirely dishonest” and attempting to “pull the wool over the court’s eyes” in a multimillion-pound divorce dispute.

Andrew Williams, the millionaire owner of a Welsh port business who lives in Monaco and refers to himself as Sir Andrew in correspondence despite not having been knighted, told his wife of 30 years that she should be forced into “stacking shelves in The Range” after they split, the High Court heard.

He has now been ordered to pay his estranged wife £12.5 million as part of a divorce settlement, which Mr Justice Moor determined was half of the couple’s matrimonial assets
