NHS staff have been reported for wearing “free Palestine” badges while treating Jewish patients in a string of “intimidating and distressing” incidents at a prominent health trust.
Barts Health NHS Trust, which runs five hospitals in central and east London, has announced a review of its dress code after receiving complaints about staff wearing pro-Palestinian political symbols and football shirts since the October 7 attacks on Israel last year.
Lawyers have accused NHS staff at the trust of creating an “intimidating, hostile and offensive environment for Israeli or Jewish patients and staff”
